Wait for Better Wi-Fi

According to a team of analysts, the iPhone 13 series could have better Wi-Fi on board.

Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis, Thomas O'Malley, and Tim Long believe the iPhone 13 series will have Wi-Fi 6E on board.  They've reiterated this stance in a newer report.

Digitimes backs this up with a report of its own. The publication says "Apple is set to incorporate Wi-Fi 6E technology into its new iPhones for this year, and the technology is expected to become a standard feature of both iOS and Android smartphones in 2022."

If you're unfamiliar, Wi-Fi 6E is similar to the Wi-Fi 6 standard in that it delivers better performance, fast data rates, and lower latency. That said, it's extended into the 6GHz band.

Currently, the iPhone 12 series, iPhone 11 series, and iPhone SE 2 support the standard, non-6 GHz version of Wi-Fi 6.

Samsung's newest flagship, the Galaxy S21 Ultra supports Wi-Fi 6E so it makes sense that Apple would include a similar upgrade on its 2021 iPhone.
