The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be two of the best phones you can buy for the next year but you don't need to shell out a ton of money for a good iPhone experience. 

Apple's slashed the price of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s. Those devices are now $100 cheaper then they once were. And that's just Apple. 

We expect carriers and retailers to follow suit and we should see some excellent deals emerge during the holidays around Black Friday.

You won't get the best iPhone experience but the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6s are very good and could suit your needs. 

And don't forget about Android. If you aren't sold on an iPhone, there are a ton of cheap iPhone 8 alternatives out there.

Two devices that immediately come to mind are the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8, Samsung's two flagship models.

There are a ton of Samsung Galaxy S8 deals out there and we're already seeing some nice Galaxy Note 8 deals emerge.  

If buying the iPhone 8 will put you in a financial hole, it's not worth it. There are some outstanding alternatives, including cheap iPhones, that will do similar things at a cheaper cost.
