Do You Want a 4-inch Screen?
If you need a new phone but aren't particularly enamored with the iPhone 8's screen sizes, don't force it. Apple didn't announce a new 4-inch iPhone at its fall launch event but that doesn't mean an iPhone SE 2 is dead. In fact, rumors point to a possible announcement early next year at the company's annual spring launch event. For many of you waiting for this event will be a win-win. First and foremost, we could get an iPhone SE 2 with souped up specifications. It might not have all of the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus features, but we expect it would be fast and would likely come with the same Apple A11 Bionic processor in a small and easy to hold package. You'll also avoid the shipping delays and the other nonsense that will likely plague the iPhone X and iPhone 8 launches this fall. We should also see some better iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus deals emerge in the spring as well. You have nothing to lose by waiting to see if Apple announces an iPhone SE 2 in early 2018, but if you buy the iPhone 8 today, upgrading in six months is going to cost you.
