9 Common iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak Problems and Fixes

Published

on

The iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak is available on Windows and even without a computer. In most cases it works the first or second try, but there are still some iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak problems both with the jailbreak process and with using your iPhone after the jailbreak.

Here is a look at the most common iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak problems from Apple ID issues, a failed jailbreak, Cydia crashing, FaceTime not working after you jailbreak and more. We’ll also show you how to fix location services after you install the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak.

Keep in mind the iPad Pro 9.7-inch and the iPod Touch 6th generation don’t work with the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak yet and 32 bit devices don’t work with the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak at all.

The Pangu team is working on fixes for some of the common iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak problems, so you may simply need to wait.

You don’t need to wipe your phone and start over, and importantly you don’t need to take it anywhere for help. With the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak it is possible to do a complete restore and jailbreak to start from scratch if you do run into multiple problems, but that’s final option.

Pangu Jailbreak Tool Won’t Open

Make sure you are trying to use the Pangu iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak tool on Windows. It will not work on a Mac.

If you are on Windows and you opened the tool, and had an issue or it closed you cannot re-open it until you completely restart the computer.

Make sure that you allow access and allow firewall access to the tool. If you have issues with those steps, use this guide to jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 without a computer.

Pangu Tool Won’t Accept Your Apple ID

Part of using the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak on a PC is entering your Apple ID. We recommend using a second Apple ID that does not have all your personal information connected to it.

If the tool shows you a crying computer it is having issues with your Apple ID. You may need to turn off two-factor authentication in your iCloud settings to use this. We recommend using a second ID that doesn’t need this or to use the no computer needed jailbreak that doesn’t ask for an Apple ID.

Cannot Jailbreak Without a Computer

We saw a brief period where you could jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 without a computer. This option downloaded the jailbreak tool directly to your iPhone, using an enterprise certificate.

We’ve learned that Apple is now revoking some of these certificates, which may lead to an unable to download app error message. If you run into this you need to use this guide to jailbreak using a computer.

How to Fix Activator Bootloop on iOS 9.3.3

If you install the new version of Activator and your iPhone enters a boot loop you can fix it with a few easy to follow steps.

You will need to follow the guide on Reddit from DodongBastos using iFunbox to remove the Activator tweak.

iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak Fails

If you cannot complete the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak and you see some type of error message in Chinese you should do the following.

Restart your iPhone and your computer. Confirm that Find My iPhone is off and that you are on iOS 9.3.3. You may also want to make sure that a passcode is off.

If that doesn’t fix this problem you may need to restore so that you don’t have any over the air updates on your iPhone. An OTA update can mess with the jailbreak process.

Fix Location Services After iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak

Some users report that the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak breaks Location Services. This is annoying, but there are several simple fixes if you run into this problem.

The easiest is to go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings. This will wipe all your network information like WiFi connections but won’t erase your data. When the phone reboots try to turn on Location Services.

If that fails you may need to restart the iPhone, launch the PP Jailbreak app again and re-jailbreak. Once this completes try turning Location Services back on.

If that fails you may be able to fix it by downloading libLocation from Cydia and installing it on your iPhone or iPad.

Fix FaceTime After iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak

If you cannot use FaceTime after you use the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak you need to restart your iPhone or iPad and then try the jailbreak app on your phone again. This should fix FaceTime jailbreak issues for most users.

Use the PP app to jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 again on your iPhone if apps crash or FaceTime doesn't work.

Apps Crash on iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak

If you start to experience issues with apps on your iPhone or iPad after installing the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak you should first make sure that your iPhone didn’t restart. If it did you may need to re-jailbreak using the app on your iPhone.

Another issues is that not all Cydia apps and tweaks work with the iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak yet. Use this list of iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak compatible Cydia apps and tweaks to see if the app you are using works for other people.

How to Fix Annoying iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak Problems

If you run into iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak problems that you cannot fix using the help above you should seriously consider restoring your iPhone and then re-jailbreaking without restoring from backup.

Users who need to go this route will want to connect the iPhone to a computer and use the Restore option in iTunes. This will download the right version of iOS 9.3.3 and then will install it so that the iPhone is set up fresh.

When this is complete you can jailbreak the iPhone on iOS 9.3.3 and likely experience fewer issues than you had before.

recommend to do a DFU 9.3.3 iOS recovery before JB. Will save you lots of time to troubleshoot

Glad you’re trying to help, but I’m reading the computer-free JB process you hint on is no longer working (Entrprise cert from Apple has been killed or something to that effect, nullifying that JB, so Pangu tool is the only current option).

Sooo, after the 9.3.3 jailbreak I noticed that I couldn’t “define” anything. Like, when I highlight a word and hit define, it informs me that no definition is available and if I try to manage to add dictionaries then it is completely empty and won’t allow me to add.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

That was the stupidest, no content waste of time I’ve ever heard. If something doesn’t work reboot it, if that doesn’t help seriously consider restoring your iPhone back to normal. This didn’t help at ALL.
