Samsung finally adds one of our favorite features from other Android devices to the Galaxy S7 with an always on display. Instead of pressing a button to turn the screen on completely you can see important information at a glance by pulling the Galaxy S7 out of your pocket.
The Always On Display shows you a clock, calendar or background image and you can also choose to see icons for unread notifications as well as your battery life. Unlike turning the screen all the way on, this uses the screen technology to use very little battery life while showing you important information.
The iPhone 6s does not support an always on display, and it is not a feature that we expect to see arrive on the iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus with a software update.
