You Can't Downgrade Your iPhone 8

If the iOS 11.3.1 update starts causing issues on your iPhone 8 we've got some bad news: You're on your own until Apple rolls out a new version of iOS 11.

Apple recently stopped signing off on the iOS 11.3 update which means you can no longer roll your iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus back to the previous version to improve performance.

Unfortunately the company's also closed up downgrade paths to iOS 11.2.6, iOS 11.2.5 iOS 11.2.2, iOS 11.2.1, iOS 11.2, iOS 11.1.2, iOS 11.1.1, iOS 11.1, iOS 11.0.3, iOS 11.0.2, iOS 11.0.1, and iOS 11.0.

The iOS downgrade process is pretty straightforward and once you get the hang of it, you'll be good to go whenever Apple releases a new version of iOS.

Dig in if you need to ahead of the next iOS 11 release.
