The iPhone X iOS 11.3 update was packed with changes including upgrades to Apple News and Apple Music, some important changes to the App Store, and bug fixes for lingering iOS 11 issues.

If you're currently running iOS 11.2.5, your iPhone X's iOS 11.4.1 update includes additional bug fixes.

One is a fix for an issue where using certain character sequences could cause apps to crash. The other fix is for an issue where some third-party apps could fail to connect to external accessories.

If you're currently running iOS 11.2.2, your iOS 11.4.1 update comes with the changes from iOS 11.2.5 which include an upgrade for Siri and support for Apple's new HomePod speaker. If you're planning to pickup the HomePod, you'll want to install the iOS 11.4.1 update. 

If you're upgrading from iOS 11.2.1, your iOS 11.4.1 update comes with a single patch for the Spectre exploit. If you value your security, you should download the iOS 11.4.1 update right now.

One fix is for an issue where the iPhone X screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop.

We experienced this issue when we were using the device in cold weather. We haven't noticed the issue while running iOS 11.2, iOS 11.2.1, iOS 11.2.2, iOS 11.2.5, iOS 11.2.6, iOS 11.3, iOS 11.3.1, iOS 11.4, or iOS 11.4.1. 

The iPhone X's iOS 11.1.2 update also addressed an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with the iPhone X. If you skipped iOS 11.1.1, your iOS 11.4.1 update will deliver its fixes. 

The iPhone X iOS 11.1.1 update brought two fixes to the flagship device. One is a fix for an issue where Hey Siri would suddenly stop working. The other is a fix for an autocorrect issue that changed the "i" to a capital "A" with a rectangle and a question mark. 

If you're still running iOS 11.0.1, your iOS 11.4.1 update will come with the features from iOS 11.0.2, iOS 11.0.3, and iOS 11.1 baked in. iOS 11.0.2 and iOS 11.0.3 were bug fixers, but iOS 11.1 was a big milestone upgrade. 

Apple's iOS 11.1 update delivered 50+ new emoji characters to the iPhone X and other mobile devices. Unfortunately, the only way to see and use these characters is by using iOS 11.1 and above. 

The iOS 11.1 update also featured the 3D Touch App Switcher gesture and an important fix for a potentially nasty Wi-Fi exploit.
