7 Ways the iPhone 6 Beats the Galaxy S6

More Carriers

More Carriers

The Samsung Galaxy S6 is available on a number of different carriers in the United States including the five biggest service providers and carriers like MetroPCS. Bluegrass Cellular is planning to release them in the spring.

While the Galaxy S6 is available on a number of carriers, the iPhone 6 is available on more. Apple's iPhone 6 is available on the top five (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon) and it's also available on a large swath of pre-paid and regional providers.

Most of you are going to sign up with a major carrier but not everyone wants to sign up with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. Some people want a carrier like Union Wireless. It's nice having a ton of choice and the iPhone 6 has more options than the Galaxy S6. At least for right now.

Oh yes Genius Bar at Apple Doesn’t give you a new iPhone if expired warranty they want 200 bucks the person felt sorry for you I’ve been at the Genius Bar many times and they lie and just restored iPhone or replace for a refurbished one in them black plastic boxes so ya that’s why I gave up on Apple and never had an issue with Samsung since my galaxy s4 I had them all the 4,5, now s6 edge and great solid device not Apple ya Apple is easy to use but that’s boring Samsung is easy too and fun

Other than the customer support your “7 reasons the iphone beats the galaxy s6” are really dumb.
    1) Faster Updates: Sure… due more problems detected. Seriously, along the life of a phone, how many times does the regular user need to update. Even more on the Android devices you can install custom updates, giving you a lot more flexibility and a lot more control on what bloatware you really want in your phone.
    2) Longevity: to base the “longevity” of a device on it’s software it’s just plainly stupid. I have a Galaxy S3 that works perfectly well and has all the software I need/use. What use is the “longevity” of the software on an iphone when it’s battery will start to die after 2 years, so even if they have 3 more years of support the hardware is not going to last that long (not to mention the “need” apple users seem to have to update their phone every year… maybe because their actual one doesn’t offer as much as they need?).
    3) Apps: considering the amount of FREE apps you have on android versus the “pay-me to get anything” policy of Apple your argument just falls for itself. Same with the “typically come to iOS first” as an example: Android users where the first ones to be able to use Whatsapp calls… (but of course… almost nobody uses it, right? ).
    4) More carriers… you usually just use 1 carrier, and the phone’s hardware (that can be bought separately) can be used on almost any carrier… one more silly argument.
    5) Ecosystem… IF you have other Apple devices… maybe.. if you don’t you find yourself with a device that requires you installing crap like Itunes in order to be able to access it’s contents… and not to mention that if you install it on another computer you might find all your contents erased from your phone… great feature….
    6) Ease of use… not like android is hard to use… check how many people over 65 uses phones with android.

Thanks A pertierra you said better than I did!! People like us know our Samsung Galaxy and android OS custom updates so true there!! Apple blockes everything you do I tried Apple 2 years and apple sucks!!! Nothing good about it!! Just that stupid shiny logo on the back a flashy phone isn’t cut out for work a reliable device you can do more with such as Samsung or any android device is cut out for the job!! Ya my grandma is 79 and uses her Samsung Galaxy S6 edge like mine and uses it with ease no issues at all, she looks at a iPhone and says what a overrated and priced phone!!

I feel like all the advantages have nothing to do with the actual phones it’s more of apple vs android. And the ecosystem argument is misrepresented,as far as I know unless you have a mac or a iPad good luck forwarding your text and calls to other devices.but with android you have many options to forward your notifications to almost any device. To continue with my android fan boy rant I can add apps to my android devices from my pc on any Web browser can’t do that on ios

Great article (although the deluge of ads make it hard to read on my tablet and the page crashed a couple times). I definitely think the iPhone is a longer lasting product, mainly because of the build quality and perpetual Apple updates. My experience with both products make me believe that Apple builds a phone with a useful life of 36 months+ whereas Android devices have a useful life of 18-24 months tops.
