In less than 10 days Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo will also take to a stage at the Electronic Entertainment Expo and talk about the latest advances in video game consoles. Besides unveiling new hardware, they’ll each talk at length about the exclusive video games being developed for their consoles by teams within their organizations. Exclusive games are great, but at E3 2015 the real highlight will be the third-party developers and their games.

Third-party video game makers don’t necessarily have a clear affiliation with the platforms their games are produced for, though many do have promotional deals. Studios like Electronic Arts, Bethesda Softworks, Ubisoft and Activision all have titles slated for release in 2015. Regardless of whether you decide to purchase an Xbox One or PS4, it’s these titles that’ll have you wishing it was already the fall buying season.

Here are 8 big games we’re expecting to see at E3 2015 this year. All of them are from developers not owned by Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo. E3 2015 starts on June 15th.

Fallout 4 doesn't have an official release date yet, but the pre-order page at retailer GameStop shows a placeholder release date of December 31st, 2015. When GameStop uses that date, it's because it expects the game to launch within the calendar yet, but doesn't have a hard street date.
