Submit Feedback & Report Problems

Part of joining the beta program and trying the latest version of Android is to help make it better. If you run into problems, find anything broken, or just want to offer feedback you can do so. Submit any feedback before installing the official release.

To start just pull down the notification bar and tap the gear-shaped Settings button. Inside the redesigned settings menu is a location to report feedback directly to Google and its engineers. This is in Settings > About Phone > Send Feedback.

We recommend you explain the problem as specific as possible, to ensure a fast response. Keep in mind that Google doesn't actively reply to every report, but it does monitor each one as they arrive. You can also post comments in the Android Beta Google+ Community. Google may reach out for additional information or crash logs if possible, and explain how to provide them with one.

You can submit feedback even on the official release too, so keep that in mind.

That all said, enjoy the official update to Android 8.0 Oreo now that it's here. If you don't have it yet, be patient, update are rolling out as we speak. Select users with a Verizon Pixel may end up waiting an extra few weeks.

Something simple perhaps, that I don’t seem to be finding any online info about:

Right after install, we are prompted to “Select Home”, where the selections are “EasyHome”, “Home”, or “Home & app drawer”

At first, I kept the use-as-default box unchecked to make it easy to try the options a bit. (I’m still not clear what “EasyHome” is supposed to be…. except simpler.)

HERE’s the big takeaway, for me: if you select “Home & app drawer”,
then you GET BACK the icon setup, from your desktop BEFORE the update to 8.0.
