Tons of new Android 4.4.3 KitKat update and Android 4.4.4 KitKat update details emerged today as Google and its partners continue ahead with both the Android 4.4.3 KitKat release and the Android 4.4.4 KitKat release.

Last month, Google pushed out a trio of updates including the Android L beta update, Android 4.4.3 KitKat and the current Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. Android L will arrive sometime later on this year, perhaps alongside a new Nexus 6 and Nexus 8, so for the moment Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat reign supreme.

In the past few weeks we’ve seen a number of Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates roll out. We’ve also seen a number of new details emerge as companies work to get their devices outfitted with the two software upgrades, both of which contain crucial bug fixes for Android 4.4.2 KitKat problems. They also come with cosmetic changes to the stock dialer and the People app.

While many Android users have received their upgrades to either Android 4.4.3 KitKat or Android 4.4.4 KitKat, there are plenty of other users that are still waiting for their upgrades to arrive. Fortunately, as time goes on, we’re starting to see new details emerge and today, a boatload of new Android 4.4 KitKat update details have emerged for those in the hunt for Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat.

Today, Sony announced that the Android 4.4.4 KitKat roll out for its Sony Xperia Z1 is now available in Canada across several carriers including Bell, Telus and Rogers. Xperia Z1 owners on those carriers should take a peek for the update as it, and its crucial bug fixes, should be available right now through an OTA download.

This trio of updates comes shortly after Sony started rolling out Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a number of enhancements out to the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. The updates are rolling out in waves and should take several weeks to reach all variants in all regions where the devices are available.

Sony users aren’t the only ones getting a new Android 4.4 KitKat update today. It appears that the HTC One M8, the European version, has started receiving its Android 4.4.3 Kitkat update. HTC’s Android 4.4.3 KitKat update comes with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat security fix that prompted its roll out just weeks after the arrival of Android 4.4.3 KitKat.

This update comes after HTC upgraded both its HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 Developer Editions with Android 4.4.3 KitKat and just a few short days after it rolled out the HTC One M8 Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for Sprint.

HTC still owes several Android 4.4.3 KitKat updates to HTC users and it appears that the international HTC One M7 could be next in line as well known HTC leakster claims that the HTC One M7 will get the update “soon.” There is no specific release date in place at the moment though given HTC’s widespread Android 4.4.3 KitKat push, there is a good chance that we’ll see the update roll out in the next few weeks.

Verizon is also pushing out the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update to Moto X users today. The update delivers a number of changes and it should be available to all Moto X users right now through an OTA push.

That’s not all. Australian carrier Telstra has announced a slew of Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat update details in an update to its Android update schedule.

The carrier says that it plans to roll out Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates for the Sony Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z though the Xperia Z is the only one with an ETA. Telstra says that the update will be rolling out in September though it’s always possible that the software will hit a delay during the testing process.

In addition, the carrier notes that its HTC One M7 Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will push out in late August, another sign that we should see the international push soon, and that its HTC One M8 Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will arrive in mid-August. The carrier provides specific dates though they are only estimations and not concrete release days.Android-L-keyboard on Android 4.4.4

Android 4.4.3 KitKat and Android 4.4.4 KitKat are expected to be replaced by Android L, a major Android update that’s rumored to be coming out later this fall to help Android devices challenge the iPhone 6 and iOS 8.

No words from Samsung, oh God … that company sucks when talking about updates. I hate my Galaxy S4 after it was updated to Kitkat 4.4.2 last february 14th (what a bad gift for Valentine). Calls drop or when someone picks up the call, we can’t hear each other. I’ll switch to HTC, Sony, LG, Nexus or Motorola, but I’m not staying with Samsung anymore!!!
