9 Awesome Apple TV Accessories

Published

on

The new Apple TV has been available for a few months now, and if you’re looking for some accessories to go along with your new streaming set-top box, here are nine awesome Apple TV accessories that you should buy.

The fourth-generation Apple TV arrives as a huge overhaul over the Apple TV 3, coming with all sorts of new features that blow the old model out of the water, including Siri functionality, an all-new remote, gaming support, and a native Apple TV App Store for downloading and installing third-party apps and games right on the device.

The Apple TV hasn’t been touched by Apple since 2012, so it was definitely due for a major refresh at some point. The company announced and unveiled the new Apple TV back in September during the iPhone 6s event, and released the device in late October. It comes in two different storage capacities: 32GB and 64GB, priced at $149 and $199, respectively.

If you’re looking to get some accessories for your new Apple TV, Apple already has a handful of options available right now, with other accessories undoubtedly arriving in the future at some point, but here are nine awesome Apple TV accessories that you should buy right now.

Griffin Survivor Play

Griffin Survivor Play

The Griffin Survivor Play is a protective sleeve for the Apple TV remote that can save it from potential damage.

The Survivor Play is geared toward Apple TV gamers that will likely use the remote as a game controller, providing maximum grip so that the remote doesn't fall out of your hands, especially when you're playing a game that requires you to fling around the remote to activate the motion sensors inside.

The protective sleeve is made out of silicone and has extra-thick grips on the back to make it easier to hold. It's priced at $19.99 and is available now.

The Apple TV (4th Gen.) does not support keyboards, at least not yet. You might want to do your research before you start recommending accessories for Apple TV that aren’t even supported.

Ridiculous article, my Apple TV 4 did come with an HDMI cable, so glad I didn’t read this 1st and run out to by one I didn’t need, and recommending a £79 keyboard when the device doesn’t as yet support BT keyboards. What research and testing did you ACTUALLY carry out? Most unprofessional

The AppleTV does NOT come with an HDMI cable. Never has in any model. It does come with a power cable, and a lightning cable with which to charge your remote, but that’s it.

One off the most annoying things I see so far is that you can add apps like amazon video on your phone or tablet but not on the apple tv, yet they added the Ookla speed test app which I believe is useless in a sense that you will only use once or twice for troubleshooting only.

YOU ARE ALL WRONK ON THE KEYBOARD ISSUE

AppleTV has always had the ability to connect to an Apple WIRELESS keyboard via BLUETOOTH.
Look up the info on a simple Google search and find out how!

Check the brand page of Sikai Case, they manufacture as well some cases for Apple TV.

I have no clue whenever they are awesome as other here claim about their product :D, might be good might be not.

But some of their stuff which I bought was quite good, well at least relatively to the price I paid for it :D
