The Battlefield 1 In the Name of the Tsar DLC release date has finally been confirmed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.

After a long wait, the second piece of Battlefield 1 DLC is finally ready and it’ll land for all three platforms next week after some server down time.

In an announcement, DICE’s confirmed the In the Name of the Tsar release date for September 5th though this release date is only for a select group of Battlefield 1 owners.

The September 5th release date is for Battlefield 1 Premium Pass holders. The Premium Pass allows owners to play Battlefield 1 DLC expansions two weeks before everyone else. Those who don’t own the Premium Pass will be able to unlock In the Name of the Tsar content in mid-September.

The company is expected to take Battlefield 1 servers down the morning of September 5th to deploy the DLC and what will likely be a mandatory update for all Battlefield 1 owners. The company included the first Battlefield 1 DLC, They Shall Not Pass, inside a mandatory update back in March.

Look for the company to confirm the In the Name of the Tsar release time on Monday and the full update change log shortly after it starts rolling the DLC out to Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC owners on September 5th.

DICE says In the Name of the Tsar will be its biggest DLC expansion yet. The DLC brings six new maps to the game. One of the new maps, Lupkow Pass, arrived alongside the company’s August update last month.

The second Battlefield 1 DLC will also deliver new weapons, new vehicles, a new top rank of 120, new Operations, a female scout class, and new Specializations that grant your character additional boosts. The In the Name of the Tsar DLC will also deliver a brand new game mode called Supply Drop.

Once In the Name of the Tsar arrives in late September for non-Premium Pass holders, Battlefield 1 owners will set their sights on the future, a future that appears to be bright for a game that first arrived in late 2016.

DICE says it plans to release an October update with major updates to the game’s popular Operations game mode. The update should also include patches for In the Name of the Tsar bugs and problems.

In November, the company is planning another base game update. And during the holidays, the company plans to promote the game with its Turning Tides DLC, the game’s third expansion.

Turning Tides is set to bring World War I’s amphibious combat to gamers. The expansion pack will feature the infamous Gallipoli Offensive.

The fourth Battlefield 1 DLC, Apocalypse, is coming in early 2018 and there’s speculation that it will be based on the Battle of the Somme.
