If you aren't careful, a few other roadblocks could popup when you attempt to play Battlefield 1 on your Xbox One, PS4 or PC.

As we push into 2017, EA DICE will roll out Battlefield 1 updates across all three platforms. Some of these updates will require a download on your end. If you go days or even weeks between your gaming sessions, these updates could add up and waste your time.

You'll want to ensure that your system is up-to-date before you start up Battlefield 1 and sit down to play. We recommend turning out automatic updates so that you're ready to go whenever you find time to play.

If you own an Xbox One, Instant On mode will ensure that your console is always updated with the latest firmware. If you own a PS4, turn on Automatic Downloads.

If you're playing Battlefield 1 on the PC it might be a good idea to make sure that your sound and graphics drivers are up to date.

Also, you'll want to make sure your controllers have batteries/are charged. Same goes with your headset, if you own on. A headset is vital to your success in Battlefield 1 (it's a team-based game) and you don't want to waste 20 minutes of your time waiting for it to charge.

Take care of these tasks before you play. You'll be in much better shape if you do.
