Boots on the Ground vs. Advanced Movement

We haven't seen either game in action yet but we already know there will be some key differences in the way that your character manuevers throughout the level.

Battlefield 1 will almost certainly be limited to boots-on-the-ground style combat. What this means is that you'll likely be limited to basics like running, jumping, and sliding. Standard for a solider in battle during World War I.

In Call of Duty, you can expect a more advanced movement system that includes some of the mechanics found in previous games like Black Ops 3.

Specifically, you can expect a chain based movement system that will likely include features like a jet pack/jump boost and very likely wall running similar to Black Ops 3.

We expect EA DICE and Activision/Infinity Ward to outline many of these features at EA Play and E3 2016 respectively so keep an eye out for more concrete details next week.
