This final spot came down to the Droid Turbo, Samsung Galaxy S5, Nexus 6, and Sony Xperia Z3. Ultimately, the Xperia Z3 won out over the others because of its total package.

Sony's latest flagship smartphone delivers a superb design, excellent camera, useful software, fantastic battery life, and a very speedy processor. It's also an extremely affordable smartphone and one that should continue to get software support as we push deeper into its life span.

The other phones have weaknesses where it counts. The Galaxy S5's design is lacking. The Droid Turbo's camera is inconsistent. The Nexus 6 is expensive and massive. The Xperia Z3 might not have the big name but it's a smartphone that we think you're going to love. We'll have our full review up later this week.
