6 Best Google Pixel 2 XL Alternatives

Another viable alternative to the Pixel 2 XL is both the Galaxy S8+ or the bigger Galaxy Note 8.

Personally, I'd recommend the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8+ as these phones are nearly identical in size, only the Samsung has a slightly bigger screen. Everything else is nearly the same.

The Pixel 2 XL, Galaxy S8+, and Galaxy Note 8 all have the same Snapdragon 835 processor, 64GB of storage, water-resistance, and a great design. However, the Galaxy Note 8 has an even bigger 6.3-inch display that's the best on the market. A higher water-resistance rating, 6GB of RAM for improved performance, a microSD slot to expand storage, and an S-Pen stylus. Not to mention a highly capable 12MP DualPixel camera, and a secondary rear camera that delivers the same "Portrait" mode photos as the new Pixel 2 XL.

The Galaxy Note 8 is physically bigger, but only by a little bit, and costs $100 more for the same 64GB of storage configuration. However, that extra $100 gets you a beautiful screen that you'll love (without some of the Pixel 2 XL problems) and everything we mentioned above.

Samsung's Galaxy S8+ and Note 8 are both great alternatives to the Pixel 2 XL. You can even use the Google Pixel launcher and a stock Android theme to make it look and feel like a Pixel. Get the Galaxy Note 8 right here
