The Xbox One comes with a headset in the box, but it's not as good as the third-party headsets that you can get for the new console, including options from Turtle Beach and Polk Audio. The Turtle Beach Ear Force XO series of headsets come with surround sound and an over-the-ear design for noise isolation and complete immersion in games.

The Polk 4 Shot headset can be used as headphones or a headset with a microphone that can be retracted and hidden from sight when not in use. Granted, Microsoft isn't allowing full third-party headset support until next year, but you can at least prepare for the update and get a new headset today so that you'll be ready on day one.
