You might think that a third-person shooter with a sense of humor wouldn’t get a lot of attention. They’ve been done before – at least, we thought they’d been done before. Sunset Overdrive is a third-person shooter that takes place in a city ravaged by giant monsters who are really mutated humans that consumed some pretty dangerous soda.

Users can heavily customize their character. We’re talking panda-styled hats, military jackets and all the hipster-ish Chuck Taylor shoes players can probably handle. It’s that customization and the game’s sense of humor that set it apart. It’s also worth noting that Sunset Overdrive has a pretty unique combat system involving running, jumping diving and a cover system. There’s some wall running in there too. Sunset Overdrive arrives on the Xbox One in the United States on October 28th. Users will be able to purchase it with a special white Xbox One for $399.
