BlackBerry Z10 Available Today for T-Mobile Business Customers

While consumers in the U.S. are still awaiting the launch of the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, business customers on T-Mobile USA’s network can begin buying the BlackBerry 10-powered smartphone starting today. The carrier says that the phone will launch by the end of the month for non-business customers.

According to a statement given to Engadget, the BlackBerry Z10 will cost $249.99 for business customers, though the pricing does require signing a two-year contract.

The BlackBerry Z10 will be the first BlackBerry 10 smartphone. The BlackBerry Q10 with a physical QWERTY keyboard will debut in May, and reports say that T-Mobile is on track to launching the Q10 sometime in May.

In addition to T-Mobile, the BlackBerry Z10 will also be headed to AT&T and Verizon Wireless. Sprint remains the sole carrier of the big four national carriers to opt out of offering the BlackBerry Z10. Instead, Sprint had confirmed that it will only offer the BlackBerry Q10 for its network.

urlPrevious rumors suggest that AT&T may be the first carrier to widely offer the BlackBerry Z10 to customers with a speculated availability date of March 22. Thus far, neither BlackBerry nor AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon has announced the official consumer availability date for the BlackBerry Z10.

For business customers who are interested in the device today, the BlackBerry Z10 will offer competitive specs with a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 1280 X 768-pixel HD display, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video recording, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, and micro SD card slot for additional storage.

At this time, it’s unclear if T-Mobile will price the Z10 at the same $250 price point with contract for consumer customers.

The BlackBerry Z10 has been available for some time internationally, but it’s release has been delayed in the U.S. due to more stringent network testing performed by American carriers.
