The BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry’s first BlackBerry 10 smartphone, has emerged today in photos depicting the upcoming Verizon variant which will be launching in just a couple of weeks. And in true Verizon fashion, it appears that the carrier has marked up the device with its branding, including one particularly ghastly logo.

Back in January, RIM changed its name to BlackBerry and launched three new products including the BlackBerry 10 operating system and two new BlackBerry 10 smartphones including the BlackBerry Z10, its all-touch device, and the BlackBerry Q10, a device that features the company’s iconic full QWERTY physical keyboard.

Both devices will be hitting American carriers later in the year and the first to arrive will be the BlackBerry Z10 which is slated to hit AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon in a few weeks time. And it seems one of those devices, the Verizon variant has leaked ahead of its official arrival.

CrackBerry has unearthed some images showcasing the Verizon BlackBerry Z10 variant for the second time around though this time, we get a much closer and in-depth look at the device which should be hitting shelves next month.

The device itself looks exactly like the BlackBerry Z10 that has arrived in other regions already save for the fact that it sports a ton of branding, including one ugly Verizon logo that sits in the very top left of the BlackBerry Z10. That logo comes in addition to another massive Verizon logo on the back along with its signature 4G LTE logo.

While maybe not a deal breaker, it’s yet another example of how Verizon likes to put its fingerprints all over smartphones. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, we saw the carrier stamp its logo on the device’s home button, something that irked consumers. With the BlackBerry Z10, there is no home button on the front, so Verizon instead decided to slip its logo onto the device’s minimalistic front side.

So while other carriers may be treated to a logo-less front of the BlackBerry Z10, those looking to pick it up on the United States’ largest 4G LTE carrier will have to deal with not only that logo, but an assortment of other ones as well.

The new BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2-inch display with a 356 ppi pixel density. It also comes equipped with an 8MP camera, dual-core processor, black and white design options, and of course, BlackBerry 10, the company’s brand new operating system.
