There is no Call of Duty: WWII beta for the PC version, but one is coming.

Call of Duty: WWII Beta Start Date & Time

The second weekend of the Call of Duty: WWII beta starts 10 AM Pacific on September 1st and runs through 10 AM on September 4th. This is for the PS4 and the Xbox One, and follows a full weekend on the PS4. The second weekend of the Call of Duty: WWII beta is now live for all registered players on PS4 and Xbox One.

On Reddit Michael Condrey confirmed a PC Call of Duty: WWII beta. he did not offer any official dates for it, only saying, “Yes, coming,” so it’s not clear if it will appear on the second weekend or if it is coming later in September.

You will get a Call of Duty: WWII beta code that you must use to register for the beta. This will likely give you three codes, allowing you to join the beta and for you to share two codes with friends who did not pre-order. You can cancel your Call of Duty: WWII pre-order after playing the beta if you don’t like the game. You cannot cancel your digital pre-order, so that is not the route to go if you are not sure if you will like the game.

What’s In the Call of Duty: WWII Beta

Sledgehammer Games announced what you can play in the Call of Duty: WWII beta. There is no confirmation of Call of Duty: WWII Hardcore playlists in the Call of Duty: WWII beta yet, but they say fan favorites.

• Maps – At least three Multiplayer maps, including: Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes, and Gibraltar.
• War Mode – Operation Breakout
• Modes – Fan-favorite modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint.
• Divisions – Enlist in the Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored, or Mountain Division. You are not limited to any one Division, and we encourage you to try them all!
• Progression – Players will begin at Soldier Rank 1 and rank up through a limited progression to unlock weapons, scorestreaks, equipment, and Basic Training Skills.

You will be able to rank up to level 40 by the end of the beta and your progress carries over from weekend one on the PS4.. There are a lot of weapon options and a variety of scorestreaks.

There are some things you will not be able play and test in the Call of Duty: WWII beta. Here’s what’s not in the beta this time around;

• Headquarters – We’re testing the match-making of this all-new social experience, but access to this space will not be active during the Multiplayer Beta.
• Supply Drops, and Loot – These customization features that add depth and personality to your soldier will not be included in the Multiplayer Beta.
• Esports – Ranked Play, Game Battles, and our suite of competitive features will be accessible when we release in November.
• Additional content not in the Private Multiplayer Beta includes: full progression, remaining maps and modes, additional War Mode maps, and the full armory of weapons, scorestreaks, Basic Training, and equipment.

While we could see Sledgehammer games make changes to what is in the beta, don’t expect much of a deviation from this list of what is and isn’t included.

What to Expect from the Call of Duty: WWII Beta

The Call of Duty: WWII beta is almost here. This is what you can expect from it based on what Activision confirmed and on the previous Call of Duty beta programs.

• Expect a limited version of the game – limited characters, maps and game modes.
• Expect an open Call of Duty: WWII beta for at least one day.
• Expect extra Call of Duty: WWII beta codes to share.
• Expect two Call of Duty: WWII beta weekends
• Don’t expect progress to carry over.
• Don’t expect a Call of Duty: WWII PC beta.

It is very unlikely that you will see any single player or zombies beta or any kind of Call of Duty: WWII demo that offers more access than this limited time beta. This is the only way you can expect to play the game before the Call of Duty: WWII release date.

We are almost halfway into the Call of Duty: WWII life and there are many changes to the overall gameplay including changes to flinch, weapon balancing and small tweaks designed to make the game better.  Sledgehammer Games continues to tweak the state of weapons and change the game for balancing and based on player feedback.
