The Call of Duty: WWII beta is here for the PC, arriving well after the PS4 and Xbox One beta. We saw a number of Call of Duty: WWII beta problems hampering the enjoyment of this new Call of Duty game. Remember that this is a beta, so you will see more problems than during a normal full release of a game. How to Fix Slow Call of Duty: WWII Beta Downloads

You can fix slow Call of Duty: WWII beta downloads on the PC by finding your download and pausing it. Wait 10 seconds or so and then resume. In most cases this will make the download go faster. Here’s the download link on Steam.

You can also connect with a Network cable instead of wirelessly. Another tip is to make sure no one is using a lot of your home bandwidth on streaming movies or other downloads.

How to Fix Call of Duty: WWII Beta Installation Problems

In most cases the Call of Duty: WWII beta download will complete and installation will work without a problem. That said, you may not have enough space on your PS4 to complete the installation, or if you have connection issues the download may be corrupt.

If you are out of space, you will need to delete items on your console and then start the download or installation over. Before you delete a download and restart that, try restarting the PS4, as this can often solve game installation problems.

How to Fix Call of Duty: WWII Beta Crashes or Freezes

Some users run into Call of Duty: WWII beta crashes or the beta freezes while trying to play a game. Activision says this will happen for a variety of reasons, and offers tips on what to do if the beta crashes and you see either of these messages on the PS4;

1. Error code CE-34878-0.
2. An error has occurred with an application or system software.

You should restart the Call of Duty: WWII beta, and you may need to completely restart your console. You should also make sure your PS4 software is up to date and that your PS4 is in a well ventilated space.

If you cannot connect to the Call of Duty: WWII beta to play a game, you need to see if the beta servers are online. 1. Make sure you are signed into PSN or Xbox Live.

The biggest problem we are hearing from players is that there are issues with lag and lag compensation in the beta. That’s pretty much to be expected in a beta and hopefully it will improve over the weekend. That said, you can take some steps to fix Call of Duty: WWII beta lag on your console or home network. These problems are also referred to as;

• Rubber banding – Your character is running toward a destination and then jumps back to where it was a few seconds prior.
• Stuttering – An effect that makes your character appear to freeze and skip ahead while moving.
• Hit marker delays – When it appears you have landed several shots on an enemy, yet the enemy is able to kill you with fewer shots fired back.

The first thing to do is switch to a wired connection. Even if you only do this temporarily to figure out if it helps, do it. Many times the lag is because your home network is bad. You may need a whole home router or gaming router if you want to play wirelessly.

Look on your router to see if you can enable QoS or Quality of Service. This will allow you to set some traffic as more important. If you prioritize PSN and Xbox Live, you should experience better gaming with less lag.

You should also stop other people on your network from downloading large files or streaming. If you are streaming your gameplay on Twitch or a similar service, you may be causing your own lag, so stop that and see if it improves.

Another thing to do is check the speed of your internet connection and see if it is what you are paying for. If it isn’t, you should talk with customer support to see if they can fix it or if you need to upgrade.

Any of these changes that you make now should help prevent Call of Duty: WWII lag when the full game arrives in November.

How to Fix Call of Duty: WWII Beta Code Problems

We are still hearing from users who cannot enter the code they got with the Call of Duty: WWII pre-order on the Activision website. If this happens, you should check on a different Internet connection or try again later when it isn’t as busy.

We saw one case where a web filter blocking 18+ sites was preventing a user from registering, but in most cases this is due to an overload on Activision’s servers. Here’s more on how to register for the Call of Duty: WWII beta which will walk you through what to do if your code isn’t working.

How to Fix Missing Call of Duty: WWII Beta Token Issues

By now you should have your Call of Duty: WWII beta token for PS4. This is a code that you enter on the PS4 to start your Call of Duty: WWII beta download. Unless you bought digitally, you need this code. It should be in your email, but if you did not get it you can also find it on the Call of Duty: WWII beta site.

Go to this page and login, and you will see your PS4 Call of Duty: WWII beta token that you must type into the Redeem Code option on the PlayStation Store.

If you udon’t see your Xbox One Call of Duty: WWII beta token yet, don’t worry. It won’t likely be sent out until Thursday afternoon Eastern time.

The Call of Duty: WWII gameplay is different than Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as it is going back to Boots on the Ground. If you've spent the last two years fully invested in advanced movement systems, this is a good time to get back to a grounded style of play.  By spending your time in the Call of Duty: WWII beta re-learning how to play a game without a double jump and wall-running, you will get an edge on the competition this fall and you can learn without messing up your stats.  You can still slide in Call of Duty: WWII, but you won't have as much mobility around the map. You'll need to re-learn how to clear open map areas and what to watch for as well as what you can use to kill the enemy. This is going to be the biggest challenge for us, so we cannot wait to try the Call of Duty: WWII beta.
