Do You Use MiFi with your iPhone/iPod Touch? There’s an App for That

Published

on

mifiappIf you’re like me and you whip out your MiFi card more often than not when using your iPhone because of AT&T connectivity issues, then this might be for you. If you use an iPod Touch, this looks like a connectivity winner. Called simply, MiFi, the app uses bars to show you your connectivity strength, battery level, how much data you’ve sent and received, time connected, and the IP address. Being able to monitor your usage is a good thing with that 5GB cap. The app was developed by the folks at AppDen. Here’s the iTunes link. It’s free.

I haven’t given this a try yet, but plan on doing so this weekend, but this looks like a nifty tool for MiFi users.

Not working here. Connects, but a page of corrupt and duplicated text, all flashing, along with placeholder questionmarks. Stock Novatel MIFI GSM version. Ah well.

It would be nice to get something similar to this on windows as a system tray icon so I can judge how much time I have left. I usually have my mifi in my bag and don’t see the red blinking light, my connection just dies when it does…

Any one know of an app for windows for mifi stats?

    Hey Gavin,

I’m the author of the app and I just release version 1.1 that should fix your problem. I wrote it for the Verizon card and the 1.0 app didn’t work for the sprint, the european gsm version nor the new verizon firmware. Version 1.1 should work for all three. If not please contact me at d[at]n-so.com I would gladly assist you and make it work on more mifi devices.
