Evernote pretty excited about the iPad

Published

on

evernoteThe good folks at Evernote wish us all a Happy Tablet Day and have pledged to “support the hell” out of the iPad.

Evernote is going to support the Apple iPad. Oh Yeah. We’re gonna support the hell out of it. We’re glad to see that the current Evernote iPhone app will run on the iPad without modification, but we’ll be modifying it anyway to optimize the experience on the larger device. Oh how we’ll be modifying it! Expect rapid improvements to our iPhone app which will benefit all of our iPhone, iPod Touch and, now, iPad users in the near future.

Chalk up another reason why I should get one.

I’ve made a few posts in threads about Evernote use with iPad today. I reckon we’ll see an inking solution with Evernote and a capacitive stylus, or just your finger. Not ideal but let’s see what guys n gals at Evernote come up with.

I think Bricklin’s app will work much more nicely on the iPad as well.

I’m glad they are so chuffed about supporting ipad.
Though it is clear the company is staffed by some apple fanboys in any event.
They have completely done away with the initial winning design of evernote in favor of a very ‘apple-esque’ design.
Their blog comments are loaded with new and old users alike pleading for an optional return to the old scrolling-notes style interface but I have not even read so much as a reply from them about their intent with it.
I am a long time user and hope to see some movement to return features stripped away in the name of standardized design with their other clients.
But I admit that I spent an hour or two the other night searching to see what I might replace it with.
