Galaxy Nexus Launching “Pretty Much Everywhere” on November 21st

Published

on

This is not the first time we’ve heard the November 21st launch date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. No, that date has popped up before. But this is the first time that we’ve heard it come from an official source. Google has told The Verge that the Galaxy Nexus will be launching “pretty much everywhere” on November 21st which means there is still hope for a launch on Verizon in the next couple of days.

Thing is, that statement is about as vague as it gets. There is no specific mention of 4G LTE, Verizon or anything that will soothe worried minds. Still, it means that those of you looking to get the Galaxy Nexus have some hope to cling to.

Again, this isn’t the first time that November 21st has popped up.

The most credible evidence that we have seen, in terms of a Verizon Galaxy Nexus launch, pointed to November 21st as the day that the device would be launching. However, that was before we heard that Verizon had found bugs in testing.

Bugs, that may have pushed the launch to December.

Let’s hope that Verizon has handled those and the 21st is the day.

If the Nexus was being released by Verizon on Nov 21st, you would think that it would be announced by now.  This will be a major event.  I’m thinking its Nov 28 or Dec 1st now which falls in line with their marketing campaign.

I have to agree with you. While I am hoping next week is for real I don’t believe it and won’t believe anything until I hear confirmation from Verizon. And I also think the “bugs” are Verizon adding its crappy bloatware to the device…

Verizon seems more eager to promote their “Droid” branded devices.  They didn’t announce the HTC Rezound and that’s a pretty solid phone (came out on Monday and Best Buy seems to own the advertising for it).  I’m holding out hope for the 21st but also won’t be surprised if it doesn’t come out then.  Could go either way.

BEWARE! In the UK this phone is having a problem with the volume suddenly going down. The volume bar appears and heads downward. The user cannot prevent it. Aloso, no flash until Flash supports 4.0 ICS.

After the reports we’re hearing out of the UK about software problems with this device and reports that the 32GB version is no longer an option, I’m guessing that Verizon discovered some serious problems in testing and that’s delayed it into December…..otherwise we would have heard something about a launch on November 21st.  Verizon may be dumb but they’re not stupid.
