The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and a Samsung Galaxy Watch should offer the perfect pairing of technology when the two new products arrive this fall.

The latest rumors indicate Samsung will announce the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch before the start of IFA 2013 in early September at a special Samsung Mobile Unpacked event.

While there are few details on how the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 could work with a Samsung Galaxy Watch, pairing a small wearable screen with a large screen smartphone offers a chance for Samsung to deliver a better experience to the user.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 continues the large screen tradition of the large screen smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 display is likely set for 5.7-inches, but Samsung is reportedly testing a Galaxy Note 3 with a 6-inch display.

Even with advances in design and smaller bezels the Galaxy note 3 won’t likely be a small phone. A large phone hasn’t scared off Galaxy Note buyers in the past, but Samsung could be prepping to make the big screen more palatable with a smartwatch.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch, which could arrive under the Samsung Gear brand, appeared online as the SM-V700 recently. The model number doesn’t reveal details, but Samsung Mobile Germany in Germany reportedly has a prototype in for testing. A Samsung executive previously confirmed the company is working on a smartwatch in a race to compete with the rumored Apple iWatch.

It’s un-likely that Samsung will ship the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a smartwatch in the box, but the Samsung Galaxy Watch could easily become the best Galaxy Note 3 Accessory.

Based on the current functionality of smartwatches, we could expect the Samsung Galaxy Watch to connect to the Galaxy Note 3 to bring notifications and even phone calls to the wrist. This would allow users to keep the large Galaxy Note 3 in their pocket or bag unless they absolutely needed to check it out. It is likely that users could even respond to text messages with messages they set up ahead of time.

The video above shows a smart watch concept from Martin Hajek delivering maps from a phone to a watch, which is another great example of how a Galaxy Watch could be the perfect partner for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and other Samsung phones.

One potential drawback could be that a Galaxy Watch would be a first generation device and could come with bugs or issues that aren’t typically ironed out until a second generation.

I will be VERY disappointed if the phone is plastic and has a cheap screen but the watch is metal with the flex screen. I’m sure the watch will be released in all versions unlike the 32/64 phones with 4/8 cores.

I’d love to see Galaxy note 3 at least 6.3 inch screen. Personally, I’d like to buy 6.5 inch screen smartphone for various reasons. Samsung, please make 6.5 inch Galaxy Note 3.
