Galaxy Note 3 vs. HTC One Max Photo Buyers Need to See

Published

on

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 competitors continue to come out of the woodwork and this time, it’s the rumored HTC One Max, a larger version of the HTC One, that has come out of hiding ahead of its launch in a photo that shows it next to the 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3. The photo should be particularly interesting to buyers as it clearly shows that the HTC One Max is larger than even the Galaxy Note 3.

On September 4th, Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3, its 5.7-inch, Snapdragon 800 powered phablet that arrived in many countries at the end of September and touched down in the U.S. for the first time last week. The device is still headed to Verizon and U.S. Cellular with the Verizon model scheduled to ship out sometime before its October 10th ship by date.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 in particular is expected to get some fierce competition particularly from the HTC One Max, a device that has been rumored for weeks now and is expected to land sometime soon with October 15th being rumored as a possible launch date. With its enormous display and high-powered specifications, the HTC One Max has shown itself to be a possible contender to Samsung’s new device.

In the next few weeks, buyers will be weighing the two devices in the United States. And while a decision will certainly come easier once the device is made official, buyers can start preparing right now for the upcoming battle. In addition to being able to compare specifications, buyers can now also compare the sizes of the two devices. While we’ve seen photos of the Galaxy Note 3 and the HTC One Max in the past, the latest photo from EPrice offers another glimpse at just how big the HTC One Max truly is.

The photo depicts an HTC One Max that makes the Galaxy Note 3 look small. Other photos of the HTC One Max have pointed to a truly massive smartphone and this photo only serves as reinforcement. In addition to its large design footprint, the HTC One Max is expected to utilize a near 6-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor and an Ultrapixel camera like the one found on the HTC One.

Both the HTC One Max and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are expected to get competition from an LG device with a flexible display, a device that could be launching sometime later in the year.

HTC phones suck! I just bought the note 3 and it is amazing in everyway! I have had HTC phones and they were disappointing imo. Samsung galaxy note 3 was a awesome buy! I love it, and size wise, I wouldn’t want anything bigger. This is perfect!

It doesn’t look like the viewable screen on the HTC is any bigger, just more wasted space than the Note 3. I’ll be curious to see its actual specs and see if this hype has any merit. I used to swear by HTC but they let me down with my Thunderbolt, it’s Samsung all the way for me now. Can’t wait for my Verizon Note 3 to get here off pre order, 3 days to go.

you’re not too bright eh? screen size IMPLIES actual screen size. it might have a bigger bezel and more wasted space, but the usable screen is in fact bigger.

Whoa HTC fanboy here… look I was just making an observation. A lot of people that are actually “not too bright” would see your precious phone and say “wow its way bigger!!1”. What I said is true, the viewable screen doesn’t LOOK any bigger. But, it may actually be slightly bigger, if it is it’s hardly noticeable. I don’t see any numbers in the article showing one phone having a larger screen than the other, this article says its expected to have a “near 6 inch display”. Sounds familiar…….oh yeah the same shit they said about the note 3.

If you take out the bezel and the speakers and the wasted 1/2 inch where it says HTC the phones are the same size. At that point its all about the speakers and at that point who doesnt have headphones? You would just be that guy that people cant stand blaring music from their phone.

Sorry, but HTC disappointed me way too many times with crappy battery life, nonexistent updates, and bloated software.

HTC is dead anyway, so it would be stupid to buy their phones and be abandoned by the company.

It looks pretty kewl. With Samsung doing a Hollyweird and putting in a region lock on their handsets, the GN3 is no longer in the running, so this may be for me…

Lol, your a sucker if you can’t tell that the screens actual sizes are very close. Carefully look at the 2 pictures. In the top pic you can see the top of the screen, and in the bottom pic you can see the bottom of the screen. A shit-ton of wasted space on that thing. HTC doesn’t give a shit about its customers after they buy the phone, good luck.

I have had both Samsung & HTC and love both brands. I’m sure each have their +’s & -‘s but what I have found is that the Samsung’s audio on video recording is not that good. The HTC’s audio on video recordings is stellar. I don’t think its because of Beats audio but rather bec
ause of a better mic and better placement of speakers. So I’ll be replacing my S II with the One Max. My daughter has The One.
