When Samsung switched to a premium design language, it got rid of two prominent features: The microSD card slot for expanded storage and a removable battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge comes in three storage sizes (32, 64, 128GB) and it comes with a stock 2,600 mAh battery.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 design will reportedly come without a microSD card slot. This makes sense given the rumored jump to the Galaxy S6 design. It's not clear how much storage it will have but we'd expect there to be options.

The Galaxy Note 5 is not expected to have a removable battery. Instead, it might come with a huge 4,000 mAh battery. The Galaxy Note series has long been known for its all-day battery life and it looks like Samsung wants to maintain that reputation.

That battery, combined with the changes under the hood, could result in superior Galaxy Note 5 battery life. That's something you'll want to think about if you're continually using up your phone's battery life.
