Galaxy Note 9 Release Date & Price

Excited yet? The Galaxy Note 9 will be a significant upgrade for anyone that still uses the Galaxy S6, S7, Note 5, or similar devices.

So, when can you get one and how much will it cost? Those are two very important questions. Samsung officially announced the phone on August 9th, and it hits shelves around the globe on August 24th. However, a lot of carriers will offer it a few days early.

August 24th the Galaxy Note 9 can be yours if you're willing to shell out $999. Yes, this is an expensive smartphone. Considering it has a bigger screen, two cameras, a huge battery and 4x the storage, the price increase makes sense.

Samsung wants $999 for the 6GB of RAM 128GB storage model. Or you can get 512GB of storage built-in for $1,249. Most will be fine with the 128GB model.

As a comparison, the Galaxy Note 8 last year started at $929. This is Samsung's most expensive phone. Well, until the foldable Galaxy X in 2019.

If your 2-year deal is about to end with the Galaxy S7 Edge, get a Note 9. You can't sign a contract anymore, but you can make monthly payments on top of your bill for 18-24 months until you pay off the phone. That way it's only an extra $35-45 a month, instead of a big $1,000 purchase.

Either way, the Note 9 is absolutely worth the wait, and worth the upgrade. Although if you've waited this long consider holding out for the Galaxy S10 in March of 2019.
