AT&T, Verizon Galaxy Note Edge Release Inches Closer

The U.S. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge release date took a major step today as the Galaxy Note Edge variants have finally made a crucial appearance on Samsung’s website.

In early September, Samsung took the stage at its Unpacked 2014 launch event to announce a number of new products. While the spotlight was on the rumored Galaxy Note 4, the company made a surprise announcement in the form of the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, a device that shares many of the Galaxy Note 4′s features but comes with a curved display.

The new Galaxy Note Edge is a concept phone and one that should be intriguing to those that are looking to upgrade to a high-end smartphone. Samsung’s Galaxy Note Edge specs include a Quad HD resolution, a 2.7 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 805 with 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Samsung TouchWiz, 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization, massive battery, and a thin 8.3mm frame. It also comes with an S Pen stylus. However, it’s the device’s unique screen that sets it apart from the competition.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge release date in the U.S. is still not confirmed though we continue to see it make substantial progress. Last week, the Sprint Galaxy Note Edge was caught passing through the FCC on its way to shelves. FCC approval is necessary before a device can hit shelves and it’s one of the last steps in the release process. Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 4 release date for the U.S. just days after the fifth and final Galaxy Note 4 passed through the FCC.

The AT&T and T-Mobile models have also received their FCC certifications which means that they too are one step closer to release. The Verizon Galaxy Note Edge is the only model left that still needs clearance.

Today, we’ve discovered another key step in the release process. Samsung’s finally put the Galaxy Note Edge up on its website ahead of the U.S. release date. The AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon models are all represented and while there is no way to order them right now, we imagine that there will be a way to order them from this website in the future.

All of the pages link to the company’s pre-registration page that allows interested parties to sign up for more information about the Galaxy Note Edge and Galaxy Note Edge release date. It’s also worth noting that the website lists all four variants with 32GB in black and white. This seems to confirm carrier plans ahead of time.

Gotta Be Mobile has heard that at least one carrier could be gearing up for a Galaxy Note Edge release on November 4th. This is unverified information but the source was confident about that date.

These details follow in the footsteps of several others including Galaxy Note Edge release dates in Korea. The Korean market, expected to be among the first to the Galaxy Note Edge release, will apparently get the device starting October 28th with other carriers planning to offer it sometime in November. SK Telecom will be the first carrier to offer it.

Other Galaxy Note Edge release regions including the United Kingdom, Russia Canada, Australia, India, and China. The Australian Galaxy Note Edge release date is set for mid-November while regions like Canada will have to wait. Samsung Canada recently confirmed the Galaxy Note Edge release date for 2015 though it hasn’t outlined any specifics.

The U.S. is also expected to be among the initial launch regions and from the look of things, we could see U.S. carriers, and Samsung outline their Galaxy Note Edge release plans soon. Look for new information to emerge next week.
