on

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III is already rumored to be an absolute beast of a smartphone and just when we thought the rumors couldn’t get any better, they have. A report from DDaily claims that Samsung’s upcoming flagship is going to feature wireless charging from up to two meters away. The best part? It’s rumored to be coming standard with the device.

Apparently, it’s going to have a built-in inductive charger that is able to charge, wirelessly, when the device is 2 meters away or closer. That means that owners could be chatting on the phone at their desk and if the module is close enough, the device would charge.

That’s a killer feature if you ask us, and it joins a list of them.

Galaxy S III

The Galaxy S III is already rumored to be an extremely powerful phone.

An unnamed Samsung executive said yesterday that it would feature a next-generation quad-core Exynos CPU that will have LTE and WCDMA radios on board. So, quad-core and 4G LTE.

On top of those, it’s said to have a 4.7-inch display that features 1080p quality. Right now, the top of the line devices have 720p resolution. It’s also rumored to have an improved camera, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Google’s latest and greatest operating system.

It, along with the iPhone 5, figure to be this year’s big smartphone releases.

Speaking of a release, the device is rumored to be getting announced at some point during the first half of this year with a release likely coming sometime near or during the Summer Olympic Games in London.
