In case you didn’t know, this year Samsung released four different Galaxy S10 handsets. Two of them will be bigger than the Galaxy S9+ from last year, too. Giving big phone buyers more choices than ever before. Those being the Galaxy S10E, a regular S10, a bigger 6.4-inch Galaxy S10+, and the massive 6.7-inch 5G-powered Galaxy S10 5G. Exciting, right?
In 2018 Samsung released the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+. Both phones had big curved screens with small bezels, a sleek design, powerful cameras, and while they were great, not much changed compared to the Galaxy S8. This year though, the Galaxy 10 has some major changes throughout. From the screen sizes, fingerprint scanners and front cameras inside the screen, triple rear cameras and substantially better battery life.

One of the most important aspects of any phone purchase these days is the screen, screen size, and if it has a notch or not.
The S10+ has a punch-hole cutout in the screen to house the dual front-facing cameras (but no notch, like an iPhone). This year the Galaxy S10 series has bigger screens, but they fit in the same size package as previous generations. That's because they've removed the black bar (bezels) on the top and bottom, or made them thinner, and stretched the screen further to the sides. Delivering a bigger screen in the same space. As a result, the Galaxy S10+ is even bigger, coming in at 6.4-inches, the same size as the Galaxy Note 9, while coming in a package the same size as the Galaxy S8+ or S9+. The phone isn't physically bigger, the screen just takes up the entire front fascia. What this means for buyers though, is that the bigger size shouldn't be a concern, as it'll be the same size if you buy the S10+ or the S9+. If you're coming from a really old Samsung you might be wondering about the fingerprint scanner. Well, it's not on the back (like the Galaxy S9+) and instead -- the Galaxy S10+ has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner inside the screen, under the display. This means you simply press your finger on the screen and it'll instantly turn on, wake up, and securely unlock. The bigger screen, in-display fingerprint scanner, and punch-hole cutout for the cameras are the biggest changes to the slightly larger 6.4-inch screen in the Galaxy S10 Plus. | ||||||
