Samsung’s new Galaxy S10 is available in four different sizes and variations, including a 5G version with some unique features. Yes, the company has a bigger, better, faster Galaxy S10 5G with almost every feature you can imagine and 6+ cameras. In this guide we’ll tell you everything you need to know and pit the Galaxy S10+ vs Galaxy S10 5G for potential buyers.

The big selling point for Samsung and carriers like Verizon is true 5G capabilities making it faster than every other phone with 4G LTE. However, that’s not the only thing that makes Samsung 5G Galaxy S10 special.

As of right now, we’re not sure just how big of an impact 5G will have on our devices, battery life, performance, and just overall daily use. Most games and streaming services work just fine on 4G LTE or WiFi.

And while 5G is exciting, it alone might not be enough to make someone skip the Galaxy S10+ and go for the Galaxy S10 5G. As a result, Samsung put in a bigger screen, more features, more cameras, and a huge battery to essentially make this phone its flagship for 2019. The Galaxy S10 5G is the biggest and best phone Samsung’s ever released.

To keep things simple, this comparison will pit the Galaxy S10+ vs the Galaxy S10 5G, as they both have similar screen sizes and features. Plus, someone looking at the 5G will likely consider the smaller more affordable Plus model. So, without further delay, here’s everything that makes the 5G model special and how these two phones compare. It’s a tough decision, and we’ll help you make the right choice.

Galaxy S10+ vs Galaxy S10 5G: Display Size

Galaxy S10+ vs Galaxy S10 5G: Display Size

First things first, the Galaxy S10 5G is just massive. It's bigger than the Galaxy Note 9, and bigger than almost any other phone we've ever seen from Samsung. Well, the screen is bigger, at least.

Galaxy S10 Display Sizes

  • S10e: 5.8-inch flat, Dynamic AMOLED, Full HD+
  • S10: 6.1-inch curved, Dynamic AMOLED, Quad HD+
  • S10+: 6.4-inch curved, Dynamic AMOLED, Quad HD+
  • S10 5G: 6.7-inch curved, Dynamic AMOLED, Quad HD+

This year the Galaxy S10+ has a massive 6.4-inch screen, which is roughly the same size as the Galaxy Note 9 from late 2018. It's bigger than any prior year.

And as you can see, the Galaxy S10 5G is even bigger, sporting a huge 6.7-inch display. That said, the phone isn't physically huge. Samsung managed to shrink the bezels on all four sides and make the chin smaller. As a result, the Galaxy S10 5G is roughly the same size physically as the Galaxy Note 9. A bigger screen fits inside the same space as earlier models.

The front-facing cameras are inside the screen, which is Samsung's special Infinity-O display technology, and the speaker grill is shoved up next to the metal frame. Basically, this phone has a huge 6.7-inch screen but it won't seem much bigger in your hands than Samsung's latest Note phones.

Note: The Galaxy S10 5G does have a bigger cutout or "notch" in the screen than the other models, as Samsung added a ToF sensor inside, similar to the iPhone Xs. It's bigger than the screen cutout in the S10 Plus.

But yes, if you're looking for the absolute biggest Galaxy phone, the Galaxy S10 5G is what you'll want to buy.
