The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 update, that brings a Premium Suite along with it, has touched down in another non-U.S. region today landing on an unbranded version of the Galaxy S3 in Australia.

Since the middle part of December, Samsung has been rolling out its Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update, which isn’t a typical incremental Android 4.1 update, to Galaxy S3 owners across the globe. We’ve seen it land in Korea, across Europe and most recently on Galaxy S3 carrier-branded devices in the United Kingdom. And now today, we’ve seen it land in another region.

According to Ausdroid, the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update has touched down for owners of the unbranded version of the device with owners of the GT-I9300 (specifically the I9300XXELLA) reporting that Android 4.1.2 has become available through Samsung Kies. Samsung Kies of course is the software that Samsung uses to release software so that owners of its devices can install the update manually.

The Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 has hit another non-US Galaxy S3 today.

It appears that the update not only brings the Premium Suite, which is the major benefit of the update, but it also has fixes for both the Exynos exploit and the Galaxy S3 “Sudden Death” issue that cropped up a few weeks ago.

That being said, owners of this Galaxy S3 will certainly want to download the update, if not for the Premium Suite, for the fixes for those two issues. The Premium Suite of course brings the Galaxy Note 2’s Multi Window View feature allows users to split up the Galaxy S3′s display into two sections, each running a separate application. For instance, in one section of the display, users could run Twitter while in the other, be checking the web or email.

It also brings the new Gallery app that’s found in the Galaxy Note 2 software, Page Buddy, a customizable Notification panel, a keyboard similar to the Gesture-enhanced keyboard in Android 4.2, a smart screen rotation feature and more.

Unfortunately, owners of the U.S. Galaxy S3 are still wondering when they might start to receive their upgrade to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. We’ve heard the end of January tossed around as a possibility but thus far, software leaks have been relatively quiet.

Hopefully, Samsung and the American carriers, which are notoriously slow to Android updates, treat their Galaxy S3 owners to the Premium Suite and all it has to offer soon.

Well I know my Galaxy S3 hasn’t updated to 4.1.2 yet, but my Galaxy Tab2 10.1 updated to 4.1.1 via OTA 3 days ago.

Had ICS on it the evening before and the next day when I woke it up, it initialized Jelly Bean.

Kinda sweet, I must say. Now my phone and Tab work nice and smooth with my UN50ES6900F in the b/r.

    U.S.A. btw……
