Another Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 Update Rolls Out Without Premium Suite
Once again, a Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update is rolling out to a device in the United States and once again, that update fails to bring Samsung’s Premium Suite of features as the U.S. Cellular Galaxy S3 is the latest victim.

The nation’s fifth largest carrier, U.S. Cellular, has rolled out its version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. The update follows in the footsteps of previous Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean updates that have hit the United States including those for the Sprint, Verizon and C Spire Galaxy S3’s.
U.S. Cellular’s Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy S3 seems to only features two changes, at least according to its changelog. The first, is a bump to to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and the second is a fix for an audio issue with streaming media. And while both might be exciting to Galaxy S3 owners on U.S. Cellular, the update is without the Premium Suite of features that landed with other Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean updates around the world.
Several months ago, Samsung unleashed a Premium Suite of features for Galaxy S3 owners which arrived with the device’s upgrade to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The update brings a number of features to the table including the Galaxy Note 2’s Multi-Window View which allows owners to divide up the display into two sections running two separate applications.
However, owners in the United States have yet to see the Premium Suite despite it being available on Galaxy S3 devices around the world. Instead, owners on Sprint, C Spire and Verizon have been treated to some enhancements and bug fixes, rather than a full-fledged upgrade with Samsung’s baked-in features.
Perhaps the most frustrating part of it all is the fact that no U.S. carriers have confirmed the features for arrival which means that the Premium Suite’s future in the U.S. is up in the air.

It could be that carriers opt to roll out the features with Android 4.1.3 Jelly Bean or perhaps include them alongside the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update in the future. Complicating the latter theory is the fact that the Verizon Galaxy S3 Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update leaked with the Premium Suite no where in sight.
In the meantime, U.S. Cellular Galaxy S3 owners can upgrade to Android 4.1.2 without the Premium Suite and AT&T and T-Mobile owners can hope that their Android 4.1.2 updates fare better than the previous four updates.

I noticed 4.1.2 removed texts from the call log, making the call log actually usable again. USC device.

I believe that these scumbag companies are planning to release split screen update after they release the Galaxy S4. Split screen is a selling point for the new phone.

the arabic text on 4.1.1 (Samsung Rugby Pro) is very small. Changing the system font size to Huge makes the arabic it slightly readable but for everything else that is in English, the size is ridiculous. Does 4.1.2 fix this problem?
Also, samsung keyboard does not have (under setup input languages) arabic. Will arabic be available for the samsung keyboard in 4.1.2? (I really don’t want to download an additional keyboard and have to go through a bunch of steps to be able to pull up an arabic keyboard just to punch in a few works on facebook or the like.) – My samsung note 10.1 already has the arabic language and like an iPad, I can switch languages easily on the keyboard. Am looking for the same (as described above) for my phone.

Known issues with resolutions:
1) Keyboard makes sound upon key press
Settings -> Language and Input (under “Personal” heading) -> (“settings” icon next to “Samsung Keyboard”) -> Advanced -> Key-tap vibration (check box)
2) Multi window feature enable/disable
Keep your fingure on back button, u will get a notch on the left side of the screen as default and drag the apps to see them together.
