Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat release details continue to emerge at a blistering pace with yet another carrier offering specific Android 4.4 KitKat update release information for Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 owners on its network.

The Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat releases have been picking up the pace recently as Samsung works with its carrier partners to deploy the updates to users around the globe. Not only have seen a great number of updates push out in recent days, most recently in the United Kingdom, but we’re also seeing carriers start offering specific release details to their customers.

Yesterday, French carrier SFR said that it would be rolling out the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 update soon. That proclamation was followed by one from Canadian carrier Rogers who said that its Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update would begin today, followed by a Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update in late March.

Those carriers have been joined today by another carrier in Australia. Optus announced today that it plans to roll out the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat updates and that it plans to push them out in early-to-mid April. It does not provide specific dates but it does say that testing will begin soon after the carrier receives the updates from Samsung.

These new updates join a long line of updates that are expected to roll out in the next few weeks. In the United States, AT&T and Verizon are the only carriers with missing Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 updates and Verizon is the only major carrier yet to roll out the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update. We’ve heard that the Verizon Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update is in testing though a specific release date remains out of reach.

Samsung’s Android 4.4 KitKat upgrades for these devices are expected to mirror the updates that have already rolled out. Instead of major changes, the Android 4.4 KitKat updates for the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 bring incremental changes including emoji support and a way to quickly switch from the default messaging app to Hangouts.

These two updates are expected to be followed by updates for the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2, two of Samsung’s form flagship smartphones, before pushing onto a handful of other smartphones and tablets including the Galaxy Tab 3.
