Get Excited for Bug Fixes & Enhancements

If you're dealing with Android Oreo problems on your Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+ you should start getting excited for Android Pie and the beta.

We don't have an official change log just yet, but we expect Samsung and its carrier partners to include bug fixes and enhancements in the official Android 9.0 Pie release for Galaxy S9 models.

Last year, the Android 8.0 Oreo delivered improved speed and security for Samsung Pay and improvements to Find My Mobile and Samsung DeX

And while they sometimes go unlisted in the official change log, major Android updates have been known to iron out performance issues like severe battery drain, broken Bluetooth, bad GPS, and busted Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Galaxy S9's Android Pie update could also fix UI lag issues, random reboots, lockups and freezes, and various issues with Samsung's first-party applications.

If you're currently struggling on Android Oreo, there's a good chance Android Pie will iron out some of your problems.

And if you're really having a terrible time on Oreo, make sure you keep an eye out for the beta. Betas can be problematic, but the Galaxy S8's Android Oreo update was extremely stable for many users.
