Gigabyte Announces Booktop T1132N Convertible Tablet PC

Published

While consumer interest has recently shifted in favor of slates, Gigabyte still has convertible tablet lovers covered with its latest Booktop T1132N. Unfortunately, though, pricing isn’t available at this time, but the T1132N should prove to be a portable, productive chameleon tablet that can change form factors depending on how you want to use your mobile computer.

With a Core i5 Intel processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, the Booktop can be utilized in laptop mode, or be converted to tablet mode by swiveling the screen around and folding the display back down onto the keyboard, or closed and docked in a docking station that will give the device the feel of a compact desktop tower. The docking station will come with a built-in DVD burner.

There’s 8 GB of DDR3 RAM, HDMI port, D-Sub, Ethernet jack, audio ports, and a 2.5-inch hard drive bay, WiFi with optional 3G connectivity, and either Intel HD Graphics 3000 or NVIDIA GeForce GT520M 1 GB GPU.

The tablet’s screen measures 11.6-inch so it’s compact when you’re on the go, but if you’re docked at your desk, you can connect a larger display to give you a full computing experience.

glad you asked, and sad nobody answered. If it doesn’t mention a pen it probably doesn’t have one. kinda sucks that they compare themselves to a slate but then ignore the pen.
