Google has been busy updating many of its popular Android apps to support the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update, and its accompanying material design styling, but one that’s yet to be updated is Gmail. Today though the brand new Gmail 5.0 has leaked on video showing off the new design and some much-requested features.

Gmail has slowly but surely received a few updates over the past few years on Android and iOS, but the new Gmail 5.0 is expected to be released soon, and have some major changes this time around.

A new leak revealed by AndroidPolice is giving us a look at the completely redesigned Gmail 5.0 for Android devices, and even confirms that Gmail will soon support Yahoo and Outlook right inside Gmail. Meaning users won’t have to switch between email apps in the near future. Read on for more details and the quick video.

Gmail 5.0 won’t just handle your Gmail account, but it will be handling all of your emails accounts. That means Outlook, Yahoo, and even support for Pop3, IMAP, and even Exchange for all those business users. Gmail 5.0 will be a one-stop place for all your email on a mobile device.

A leaked video demos the new Gmail app, and Google notes within it that more than just Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.com accounts are supported. It appears that Exchange ActiveSync is supported, similar to the old Android Email app, which again confirms Gmail will be the only email app you need. Yahoo and Outlook are a welcome addition for Android users too.

Without taking about it much more, check out the newly revealed video below.

As you saw in the video above the new Gmail app is completely redesigned and very clean. There’s round avatars for the user, a drop down to easy switch between Gmail accounts, and other accounts, and tons of changes to put it in like with Android 5.0 and the material design guidelines.

Google’s new Android 5.0 operating system isn’t available yet, but will be released in the coming weeks. However, all its latest apps still run great on older devices and Android 4.4.4 KitKat, so expect this to arrive soon.

Gmail 5.0 has yet to be released, but with Google busy updating Hangouts, Google Play Music, the Google Play Store, and many other apps over the past week, Gmail is surely coming sooner rather than later. Users can expect to see the new Gmail 5.0 app arrive in the Google Play Store soon, or automatically update if you’ve got apps set to auto update. Stay tuned for more details.
