GMail Offers Attachment Reminder

Published

google_s-gmail-provides-valuable-new-featureThis looks to be a good addition to GMail. How many times have you sent an email, intending to send an attachment, but then forgetting to actually include the attachment? I know this happens to me every so often.

Well, Google is apparently using the same sort of contextual advertising technology they use to target ads to know take a look at your emails and remind you if you’ve forgotten to include the attachment. I picked this up from a report from Silicon Alley Insider where they see it working for them. I haven’t seen it yet (not atypical as sometimes these things take awhile to roll out to the entire Googleverse.)

In any regard this might come in very handy on those busy days where you’re attached to sending attachments.

check your google labs settings – it should be in there. You need to enable it. I think I’ve seen that lab offering for a while and it works quite well.
