Google Books Makes It Back to the App Store Complying With Apple

Published

on

Well, whadda ya know? Looks like Google made the necessary changes to its Google Books App for Apple’s App Store obeying Apple’s rules about in-App purchasing and subscriptions. You’ll notice that like Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s Nook App, an updated version is now available in the App Store.

I am still wondering this from earlier. What happens if you just don’t update the Apps? Can you still make purchases? Or is there something in that iOS update that also pushed through today that won’t let that happen? Supposedly it was just a security fix. Anyone else curious?

As an e-Book author, artist, I love all this…they still need us writers to fill their inventory.   But I want to have my own in-app purchasability (just created that word, wanna buy it).  to sell subscriptions to get ” a  wacky saying a day ” of my own insane creation.  amazon, B&N, Lulu get so much profit up front that readers look for free stuff.  even worse on printed books, then the shipping costs…[email protected]…..”no longer an author but a manufacturer of digital products” (just created that one too, wanna buy it)
