New Xbox One & PS4 GTA 5 Release Details Emerge

New Xbox One and PS4 GTA 5 release date details have emerged today just weeks ahead of Rockstar’s confirmed Grand Theft Auto 5 release for the two next-gen consoles.

Earlier this year, Rockstar finally confirmed a GTA 5 release for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the next-gen consoles from Sony and Microsoft. At the time, the company also confirmed a release for PC though the exact GTA 5 release date for PC remains unconfirmed. Not the case for the next-gen consoles. The Xbox One and PS4 GTA 5 release date is confirmed for November 18th, just ahead of Black Friday and the holiday shopping season and Rockstar continues to release details ahead of the big date.

With just weeks to go before the GTA 5 release, Rockstar continues to reveal release date details in the hopes of enticing consumers to its release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Today, the company confirmed a number of new details including exclusive content that will be available to those who previously bought the game on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The GTA 5 release date will bring tons of exclusive content to players including the Dodo seaplane from previous Grand Theft Auto games, a new vehicle dubbed Imponte Duke O’Death, a brand new murder mystery starring Michael, new weapons including a hatchet and a rail gun, a brand new wildlife photography challenge that leads to a new vehicle dubbed Kraken Sub, stock car races, a new Blista, and a number of other new vehicles including an improved blimp.

The railgun will be an exclusive weapon.

Rockstar says that the release date will also come loaded with “a few more surprises we’ve got planned that you’ll have to discover for yourself come game day.” It also notes, again, that those who played GTA Online on Xbox 360 and PS3 will be able to pick up right where they left off on the Xbox One or Playstation 4. Those who pre-order will get $500k towards the story mode and an additional $500k towards online mode.

The company also took the time to answer some other burning questions about the GTA 5 release for PS4 and Xbox One. These questions answer a number of different problems including its plans for those that bought last year’s special editions on Xbox 360 and PS3, details about how the transfer process will work on GTA Online, information about the GTA 5 PC release, and answers that Xbox 360 and PS3 users have been asking about the bonus content.

In response to questions about whether or not these updates will be made available for older consoles, Rockstar says that:

The vastly enhanced graphics and many other gameplay updates on the new versions of Grand Theft Auto V are really only made possible by virtue of the powerful new hardware of the new consoles and PC. Some of the other updates such as the upgrade content detailed above are being designed exclusively as a reward for returning players so those will not be released on the previous versions; however do stay tuned for more updates to be made available for Grand Theft Auto Online across all platforms and we’ll have more information on that soon.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is currently up for pre-order at a number of retailers around the United States ahead of its November release date. The game, like the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions before it, will cost $60.

With Black Friday and the holiday shopping season coming up, GTA 5 deals should emerge for those looking to snag Rockstar’s updated game. Thus far, we’ve only spotted sporadic deals.

New challenges will lead to new vehicles.

GTA 5 is the company’s fifth installment of the Grand Theft Auto series. Like the others, GTA 5 garnered fantastic reviews from videogame critics all over the world.

This is the problem with GTA V. The focus is only on the online side of things.
    It’s ridiculous.
