How to Get iPhone 6 Plus & iPhone 6 in Stock Notifications

Published

on

Finding the iPhone 6 in stock is still a challenge, especially for users looking for an AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 Plus is also incredibly tough to find in stock, but a new tool will send you a notification when it finds an iPhone 6 in stock near you. From there you can reserve one for in stock pickup so that you don’t need to rush over to the Apple Store.

Shoppers can already search from the Apple Store app on their iPhone or online through Apple, but this only searches one capacity at a time and there’s no way to get notifications when the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus you want is back in stock.

We’ll show you a better way to look for an iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6 in stock, how to get notifications when you can order one for pickup that day at your local Apple Store and how you can even set this up as a text alert.

Here's how you can get notified when there is an iPhone 6 in stock at a local store.

iPhone 6 Plus & iPhone 6 In Stock Notifications

Most carrier stores only carry a limited number of iPhone 6 in stock at any given time, as Apple appears to be prioritizing shipments to Apple Stores. You can stop in to your local carrier and hope you get lucky, but calling them isn’t going to do much good if someone walks in the door after you learn they have some of the iPhone 6 in stock.

We showed you how to find an iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in stock at a local store using this tool, but it’s still very hard to find a 16GB Verizon iPhone 6 or a 64GB AT&T iPhone 6 int he color you want. Sure you can pick another storage option and settle for a different color, but you’re going to use this phone for one to three years, so it makes sense to look for the exact iPhone 6 model you want.

The first thing you want to do is check for the iPhone 6 in stock at a local store. This tool tracks Apple Store stock, and you can also check the stock of your local Best Buy, but Best Buy won’t send a notification.

On the iDevice Availability Notifier enter your zip code. It’s Ok if the closest Apple Store is an hour or two away.

Use the drop down to select the iPhone 6 model, color, storage and carrier you want. Then click submit. Now the tool will search 10 to 20 Apple Stores. If you are looking for the iPhone 6 in stock it may only check a few, but the iPhone 6 plus is tougher to find so it casts a wider net.

If there isn't an iPhone 6 in stock you can sign up for a notification.

In this case there is no Verizon iPhone 6 16GB in stock near me. Normally you might start looking for another color or storage size, or even a different carrier, but you don’t need to.

Click on the small Notify Me bubble to the right of the Apple Store you prefer to buy from. You can only select one at a time, but you can set another notification after you are done. Enter your email address and click submit. When prompted verify the email address.

Enter your email address, or use the text message email address to get an alert when there is an iPhone 6 in stock nearby.

The messages come from [email protected], so you may need to add that to your address book to make sure it comes through. If you don’t check email very often you can use your phone number and a special email address to get the notification as a text message or multimedia message. This may cost money, but it may be worth it to know as soon as possible that an iPhone 6 is in stock locally.

Here’s what your phone number’s email address is. You can send a test email to yourself to make sure this works on your device. Use your 10-digit phone number.

  • Verizon – PHONENUMBER@vtext.com
  • AT&T – PHONENUMBER@txt.att.net
  • Sprint – PHONENUMBER@messaging.sprintpcs.com
  • T-Mobile – PHONENUMBER@tmomail.net

That’s all you need to do to get notified when there is an iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6 in stock at a local store. After you get the notification go online and reserve that model for in store pickup so that it’s still there when you arrive.

In addition to the scraper site mentioned in this article, it’s a good idea to check iPhoneInventory.com. They provide links to all major online and local retailers with the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in stock.

Or instead not get a big useless new iphone with subpar specs and get a Galaxy Note 4 the only really useful phablet on the market.
