You cannot use emoji in email or phone number fields, but in any other field you can use emoji. Tap on a normal text field in messages to bring up the Galaxy S6 keyboard.

Locate the microphone to the left of the space bar. Tap and hold on it for a little more than a second. This will open up a secondary option. You can let go once this appears. Now, tap on the smiley face icon. This will open the emoji keyboard on the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge.

In some apps like Hangouts and some messaging apps there is a smily face icon that will open up the Galaxy S6 emoji keyboard with one tap. On some other apps like Facebook this will open stickers instead of emoji.

Tap on the Emoji that you want to use in your message. Scroll up and down to see more emoji in that category. If you tap on the other icons at the very bottom of the keyboard you can see more emoji.     Hello! I have a question about the keyboard… I see on your pictures that you added a new key for the comma next to the smiley key, and also you have all the symbols above the letters. How did you do that? I’m desperatly trying to find how to do that because it’s really useful, I was used to it on my previous phone. Thank you in advance!

    I press the microphone but still the emoji keyboard doesn’t appear for me to press, also the smiley face is grey and won’t work when I press it

    I do not press the Smiley face that is that is to the left of the the SEND button and it opens up the emojis for me. I have always done it that way…I only got my phone 2 weeks ago. I love it! I would like MORE emojis though. Not enough :(

    I have the 6s active and when I send emojis to an iPhone 6plus user they come up as ?? But I can recieve theirs. Anyone know why?

    The galaxy s6 has a decent list of emojis but your much better off getting an emoji keyboard to go with it. There are some pretty good options in the play store but I have found these to be the top 3 https://goo.gl/8UkgHI
