How to Watch PlayStation Experience

Published

on

Sony, maker of the best-selling current generation entertainment console for living rooms, has just one chance left this winter to make a great impression. Pulling it off should be easy enough. The company may have failed to deliver Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End this year, but that surely won’t stop it from delivering a blockbuster line-up of titles and features to battle the Xbox One with next year. We expect to see more of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End during this year’s PlayStation Experience.

PlayStation Experience starts this Saturday, December 5th. The event itself is being held in San Francisco, California. During the entire weekend fans will get to play the hottest games coming exclusive to the PS4 in the new year, plus new content and experiences on games that are already widely available.

Tickets and hotel for the PlayStation Experience are already sold out. That doesn’t mean that PS4 owners at home can’t watch everything. Sony will provide streaming video of the event for fans across the world at home. Here’s how to watch the PlayStation Experience this weekend.

How to Watch the PlayStation Experience Keynote

The PlayStation Experience Keynote is where we’re expecting there to be some big announcements and reveals. At the very least, Sony can be expected to reveal more news about Uncharted: A Thief’s End and some new independent video games that’ll be available exclusively on Sony’s platforms. It’s hard not to imagine that Sony wouldn’t tease new add-on content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, as Sony has partnered with Activision to promote the game.

The PlayStation Experience keynote starts at 10AM Pacific Time and will be streamed here.

How to Watch the PlayStation Experience Panels

Finally, there’s the panels themselves. Sony is already teasing a behind-the-scenes look at Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. That’d be the highlight of the session line-up if it wasn’t for a session called “PlayStation VR and The Future of Play” Sony announced a virtual reality headset that users can wear and immerse themselves in game play at a previous event. Now it seems ready to show the world what the hardware can do before release.

Sony will livestream the panels on Twitch and PlayStation from 2PM to 7PM on Saturday, December 5th. This way everyone can watch from home, without making the trek to San Francisco.

How to Watch the PlayStation Experience Demos

Square Enix, Electronic Arts, Activision, Ubisoft, 2K Games, Devolver Digital, Capcom, Bungie, Warner Brothers, Treyarch, Disney and WB Games are among the studios that’ll be at PlayStation Experience. Sony will livestream interviews plus show off upcoming games for the PS4 during a special PlayStation LiveCast during PlayStation Experience weekend. The stream will also be available on the PlayStation Livestream website. Users can also watch the LiveCast through Twitch on their smartphones and tablets.

Sony has a massive list of games it expects to show participants at PlayStation Experience here. Additionally, Sony announced that Battlezone, Driveclub VR, EVE: Valkyrie, GNOG, Harmonix Music VR, Headmaster, London Heist, Megaton, Rainfuall, Playroom VR, Project Kitchen, RIGS, Rush of Blood, Super Hypercub, Wayward Sky and World War Toons will all have demos at the show. Expect news on those too.

On Saturday The PlayStation Experience LiveCast starts at 12PM Pacific Time and ends at 9PM. On Sunday the stream starts at 10AM and lasts until 4PM.

Remember, the PlayStation Experience officially kicks off at 10AM Pacific Standard Time on December 5th. That’s 1PM Eastern Standard Time. If you’re unable to watch for whatever reason, it’s likely that Sony will have archived footage on YouTube and Twitch. Also expect any big announcements to make an appearance on the official PlayStation Blog.
