HP Intros Web-Connected Printer w/Touch

The new HP Photosmart Premium printers with TouchSmart Web aren’t exactly mobile, but they do look pretty cool. You can use the 4.33-inch touchscreen to order and print movie tickets, get driving directions and other simple tasks that commonly require a printer.

HP will be offering an open APT so developers can add services to the TouchSmart Web.

The first HP Photosmart Premium printer will be available in September for $399. It’s good to see some innovation around printers, but every time I think of my printers I think of expensive ink refills…
