While HTC still has not released any information about impending updates to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has only announced limited information about upgrades to Sense 5, an unofficial list for upcoming Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 updates continues to grow with yet another device being added to the list today.

Earlier this year, HTC announced the new HTC One, a device that will be coming with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on board, an older version of Android, and the new HTC Sense 5 which brings HTC BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe, two new features to the table. Sense 5 also features a redesign making it different looking than previous versions of Sense.

Several older HTC devices, like the HTC One X, will get Android 4.2 and Sense 5.

So far, HTC has yet to issue any information about an update to the newer version of Android, Android 4.2, for the HTC One or any of its older devices. As for HTC Sense 5, the company has said that some global variants of the device will get the Sense 5 update in the future, devices like the HTC One X, One X+, One S and HTC Butterfly.

Thanks to leaks, it appears that Android 4.2 Jelly Bean updates will be bringing Sense 5 along with them to older HTC devices and HTC insider LlabTooFeR has been methodically releasing information about which devices will be getting those updates.

Earlier this week, he detailed which devices he believes will be getting upgrades in the future. The list includes the HTC Droid DNA, HTC Butterfly in Taiwan, HTC One X, HTC One X+, HTC One XL, HTC One X+ USA, HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE, and the HTC EVO 4G LTE. However, has added another device to the list today, “confirming” the update for the HTC Butterfly in other regions of the world.

The model specifically is the DLX_U which is the HTC Butterfly in regions like China and Russia. Of course, HTC has not confirmed anything yet but thanks to a solid track record from LlabTooFeR, owners of these devices should expect the updates to roll out sometime in 2013.

HTC has played its cards close to its chest, likely due to some mistakes it made in the past, and that means that we may not hear about roll outs until they get much closer. We expect the HTC One to be the first to get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with other devices following in its footsteps.

I know this article is about Jelly Bean, but I’m still hoping Droid Incredible 2 gets some love soon. My phone is out of warranty, and I’m not changing phones and give up my grandfathered unlimited data, but bought the phone because of the promise of ICS. I’m so very tempted to root it, but I’m also not in a position to replace if I brick it.

You lose unlimited data when upgrading? I’ve upgraded at at&t and I was.able to.keep it.

Don’t see the Rezound on any list to be updated to Jelly Bean. ICS was later than promised too. Probably one of the reasons I will skip the HTC One when it’s released. HTC, you need to learn to take care of your current customers if you expect them to remain loyal.

Ive been buying android phones since they came out you would know by then that after about a year or two dipending on the continous sells bases wetheir they ditch the phone or continue updarting it but to easily know when that happens is when they come out with a new line of cellphones this happens with all companys so an easier way to put it the incredible 2 is way past its due date might as well root it I did when I had it.
