HTC Vigor Appears in First Official Image

Published

on

We have seen the HTC Vigor before in photos, a phone that may or may not be the HTC ThunderBolt 2, but we have never seen the upcoming device in a photo this crisp. Pocketnow has uncovered the first press shot of the upcoming smartphone and it gives us a very clear glimpse at its form factor. It matches up with those photos that we saw before so it’s pretty safe to assume that this is indeed the HTC Vigor.

Now, the photo doesn’t reveal much else beyond the design so we’re still left with a whole bushel of questions. When’s it coming? What kind of features does it have? Will it be a 4G LTE phone?

HTC Vigor

Previous rumors peg the HTC Vigor as a Verizon superphone.

It’s supposed to have a 4.3″ 720p HD screen  with 1280×720 resolution, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear cam, 2MP front, Android 2.3.4, a new version of HTC Sense dubbed Sense 3.3, Beats Audio technology, and yes, 4G LTE.

It passed through the FCC with LTE radios.

In other words, this is a monster. As for a release date, we’ve heard October and now that this image is out in the open, one can only wonder if things are about to heat up for the HTC Vigor.

Excited?

I’m gonna get this device to try it out but my sights are set on the Samsung Nexus Prime.

I’m more excited about the Droid Prime if the rumored specs are true.  After seeing and holding phones with 4.3″ and 4.5″ screens I really want a phone with a 4.5″ or 4.6″ screen.  However, if the Prime doesn’t measure up, I would take this phone over the Bionic if the specs are correct.

Yes you are correct I also saw that and thought to myself, wtf. Notes to the editor. If your profession is this then you should be able to get something as easy as sense 3.5 correct. Especially in this case when you just simply copied all the specs of the phone from other articles. This pictures isn’t new either it has been floating around too since August. https://www.slashgear.com/htc-vigor-android-handset-appears-in-leaked-photos-26174651/. He’s just lame and trying to get views so he feels adequate as a journalist. On a side note if specs are true then I would love to buy this phone as well. It would be amazing and set the bar really high for all future phones.

Looks alot like my first gen incredible minus the red accents. Ive been waiting for an htc phone for a while. But since all the problems with the thunderbolt…im kind of weary anything htc. But damn it looks sleek. Ive been holding out on my upgrade since february ..so this may be my new phone.

Guess i can’t have it all. This phone has all the specs i want but ‘only’ 4.3″ screen. If the 4.5″ Holiday comes with Sense 3.5 then buy it. Too bad the Runnymede only has a single core.

LOVE this design. But I’m wondering how it will compare to the super amoled plus display of the droid prime?
