I’ve been very impressed with what I see with IE8 in the Beta for Windows 7, but I can’t say I’ve really put it through its paces that much. In the Windows 7 version it is certainly snappier. The Release Candidate will run on Vista, XP, and Windows Server.

You can find out what’s new and what’s included and also grab the Release Candidate from the IEBlog.

I wonder how it’s speed compares to Chrome.

Again, I’m running it with the beta of win 7 but Chrome is faster in that circumstance.
